Third party Services
Our store is hosted on Shopify Inc. They provide us with the online e-commerce platform that allows us to sell our products and services to you. Your data is stored through Shopify’s data storage, databases and the general Shopify application. They store your data on a secure server behind a firewall. If you choose a direct payment gateway to complete your purchase, then Shopify stores your credit card data. It is encrypted through the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS). Your purchase transaction data is stored only as long as is necessary to complete your purchase transaction. After that is complete, your purchase transaction information is deleted.
The third-party services providers used by us, such as direct payment gateways and other payment transaction processors, all adhere to the standards set by PCI-DSS as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is a joint effort of brands like Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover. In general, these third-party providers will only collect, use and disclose your information to the extent necessary to allow them to perform the services they provide to us. Certain third-party service providers have their own privacy policies in respect to the information we are required to provide to them for your purchase-related transactions and we suggest that you read their specific privacy policies so you can understand the manner in which your personal information will be handled by these providers.
We will not sell or otherwise provide your personal information to a third party, or make any other use of your personal information, for any purpose which is not incidental to your use of this website.
To protect all personal information we collect (including contact details and, if relevant, credit card details) we take all reasonable precautions to keep it confidential by following industry best practices to ensure it is not inappropriately lost, misused, accessed, disclosed, altered or destroyed.
If you request us not to use personal information in a particular manner or at all, we will adopt all reasonable measures to observe your request but we may still use or disclose that information if:
- we subsequently notify you of the intended use of disclosure and you do not object to that use or disclosure
- we believe that the use or disclosure is reasonably necessary to assist a law enforcement agency or an agency responsible for government or public security in the performance of their functions; or
- we are required by law to disclose the information
You are entitled to have access to any personal information relating to you which have previously supplied to us over this website. You are entitled to edit or delete such information unless we are required by law to retain it.
We may update this policy from time to time in order to reflect, for example, changes to our practices or for other operational, legal or regulatory reasons. Please review it regularly as changes and clarifications will take effect immediately upon their posting on the website.
